The price of the next phone in the Samsung Galaxy S series is expected to rise next year amid global chip shortages.
According to ICT industry watchers, the price of the Galaxy S22 series, which will be released in 2022, is expected to be around one-hundred U.S. dollars more expensive than the previous series.
While the price varies depending on region and model, the S22 in Korea will be set at around 850 dollars.and its high-end model S22 Ultra is expected to exceed one,350 dollars.
This comes as chip prices are on track to rise in 2022 as major foundries have raised chip production prices amid a supply crunch.
